Herb & Hollow shares guides to small-space gardening, herbs, houseplants and the kitchen apothecary. These Terms of Service describe the agreement between you and Herb & Hollow when you use herbandhollow.com.

Accepting these terms

By visiting or using Herb & Hollow, you agree to these terms and to all local laws that apply to you. If you do not agree, please leave the site and discontinue use.

About the service

Herb & Hollow publishes articles, seasonal checklists, planting guides and printable planners for home gardeners. Some resources are free; some printables may be offered for sale. We may revise, pause or retire any part of the site whenever we choose.

Who may use the site

You must be at least 18 years old to use Herb & Hollow, or at least 13 and using it with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian. Purchases and email subscriptions are limited to adults 18 and older. Anyone under 13 may not use the site.

Herbal and gardening information is not professional advice

Please read this section with care. Content on Herb & Hollow, including everything in the Kitchen Apothecary, is for general educational purposes. It is not medical, veterinary, nutritional or professional horticultural advice, and it is not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified professional.

Herbs can cause allergic reactions, interact with medications and be unsafe during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, for young children or for pets. Before using any herb for a health purpose, consult a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified professional, and consult a veterinarian about plants around animals. Positively identify every plant before eating or using it, follow food safety guidance for infused oils and preserved herbs, and follow label directions on all garden products. Our herbal and garden safety notes are part of these terms.

Growing results depend on climate, light, soil, weather and care, and will vary from garden to garden.

Permission to use our content

Herb & Hollow grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to view, print and save content for your own non-commercial use in your home and garden. This license does not transfer ownership. Saving our images to Pinterest through the on-site Save button, with the source link intact, is welcome.

Printables

Printable planners and journals, free or paid, are licensed for personal use by one household. Paid orders are processed by a third-party payment provider whose terms also apply, and files are delivered digitally after payment. Digital files cannot be returned, so sales are final, except that if a file is faulty, incomplete or materially different from its description, we will replace it or refund you if you contact us within 14 days. Prices may change before purchase.

Accuracy of materials

Our guides may contain technical, typographical or photographic errors, and planting information may not suit every region or season. Herb & Hollow does not warrant that any material is accurate, complete or current, and may change content at any time without notice, though it is not obliged to update it.

Disclaimer of warranties

Herb & Hollow and all of its materials are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the greatest extent permitted by law, Herb & Hollow, its owner, editors and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its materials, including harm arising from the use of plants, herbs or preparations, crop loss, or damage to property, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not permit these limitations, so they may not all apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Herb & Hollow, its owner, editors and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the site, your breach of these terms or your violation of another party's rights.

Suspension and termination

Herb & Hollow may suspend or terminate your access to the site, emails or printables at any time, without notice and for any reason, including a breach of these terms. When access ends, your right to use the site ends with it.

Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time without advance notice by posting an updated version here. Continued use of Herb & Hollow after changes are posted means you accept them, so please review this page from time to time.

Circumstances beyond our control

Herb & Hollow is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, government action, labor disputes or failures of power, hosting or internet services.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the owner of Herb & Hollow is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you a right that cannot be waived.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the extent possible and the remainder will continue in full effect.

Entire agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the herbal and garden safety notes and any other notices on the site, are the entire agreement between you and Herb & Hollow regarding the site, replacing any earlier agreements.
